OK so does he really like me?

ok so i met this guy and it turns out he has a girlfriend...but he says hes trying to break up with her but hes having a hard time because she becomes hysterical and threatens to kill herself everytime he brings up the conversation... i kno this sounds bad but i told him i really dont care if he had a girlfriend because i have plans to leave the country and i just want to enjoy life a little before i leave, but he insists that he truly likes me and has plans to break up with her. Also, he has told me to cut off any ongoing relationships i have with any guys since he is planning to do the same with his girlfriend. And he is introducing me to friends and family as his gf which i find kind of embarrasing because they kno about the other girl so they look at me as a joke. And he always is bringing up our future. Is he just some weird controlling manipulator or is he really interested in me? I just don't understand why he would take it this far by introducing me to his family etc...if he is only looking for someone on the side?
