Hair crisis xD ! damaged hair.. and a flat head.?

well okay. last summer i "razord" my hair , like i took a razor and sort of thinned out my hair. It also made these little fly away hairs all over. (makes my hair look frizzy) and i did it unevenly so one side was longer than the other. i left it for a long time then i dyed my hair black. looked absolutely TERRIBLE! (made me look very pale) and through out all of this, i straightened my hair like 3 times a day, and blow dried. (awful) i got it cut , and it's been about 2 months. my hair is very thin and majorly damaged. my hair dresser advised me to stop using my straightener. naturally my hair is poofy. i use mouse and a sculpting manipulator thing. still looks bad. my hair is faded to an awkward dark brown colour. i can't just throw it up in a pony tale because the length and cut i have ( hair goes to about underarms , + is still pretty thin) looks funny, plus i have an unusually flat head. i would like to have long think hair . i am stuck how do i fix my damaged hair and what colour should i dye it ? i have lighter skin so nothing dark or crazy coloured..
